We as a species have a finite amount of minutes on this earth, yet we’re constantly bombarded with countless amounts of information being stuffed in our faces. Sites like Tik Tok, Instagram, & Snapchat are constantly shoving content down your throat without giving people a chance to react to what they’ve seen. They consume the information & can’t think on it because the next piece of content is ready to be consumed by their short attention spans. It’s a system that companies like Meta & Twitter have capitalized on & we start to see it affect the overall media we consume.
I created Stargazer to act as the antithesis to this little theory, almost like a portal to where you’d be able to see proper breakdowns on content & issues surrounding general media. From content reviews to more contemporary articles, I want to show people the “other side of the moon” in regards to popular media, while also broadening my horizons in what media is available to the average consumer. If you see an article that you don’t agree with, that’s great! My articles aren’t meant as fact, rather they’re supposed to challenge different ideas of how you perceive a film or game. That’s why they’re called opinion pieces. Based on my current schedule, you can expect about 2-3 articles weekly that I’ll try to keep as diverse as possible. You’re not getting a week full of film reviews or just opinion pieces.
Happy Stargazing!
About Myself

My name is Christian Scarlato & I’m a creator, or at least that’s how I view myself. Working & studying out of Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University), I’ve allowed myself to be embraced by the Toronto Media scene, seeing how others in my field have benefitted from major production houses setting up shop in the 6ix. Being a part of the RTA School of Media has allowed me to broaden both my knowledge and abilities in front & behind the camera, and I’ve allowed myself to experience the media industry shifting, both inside & outside of the Great North. After graduating, I hope to start working full force within the industry, with writing, directing, producing, all that fun stuff. Personally, I have a passion of writing scripts & discussing the future of media, so I hope that you’re able to see how passionate I am within my articles. Every article on Stargazer (unless stated otherwise) is written by myself, so I hope this allows for a better understanding of who I am & what I search for in selecting media.
